Troubleshooting

Export button does not work

Try these checks:

1. Make sure you are on an actual Grok conversation page
2. Refresh the page and reopen the extension
3. Re-pin the extension so it is easier to access
4. Confirm the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions

Files do not appear after export

Check the following:

1. Chrome download settings are not blocking the file
2. Another extension is not intercepting downloads
3. You have permission to save files in your usual download location
4. You have enough free disk space

Batch export is incomplete

If not all conversations export successfully:

1. Retry in a smaller batch
2. Keep the source Grok tab open during the batch run
3. Wait for the progress flow to finish before closing the page
4. Try again after refreshing Grok

HTML output looks wrong

If the exported HTML does not render as expected:

1. Re-export the conversation with the latest extension version
2. Compare the result in Markdown mode to confirm the source content
3. Retry after refreshing the chat page

Images are missing

If conversation images do not save correctly:

1. Re-export after the conversation fully loads
2. Verify the image content is visible in the Grok thread before exporting
3. Update the extension if you are on an older build
