API and Export Errors
Fix Grok connection, Notion authorization, protected image, file-size, rate-limit, and interrupted batch export errors.
Can’t connect to the Grok page
The extension communicates with an open grok.com tab.
- Open a Grok conversation.
- Refresh the Grok tab once.
- Wait a few seconds for the page to load.
- Reopen the popup or Sync Center.
If an export was running, start it again after the popup shows Grok connected.
Invalid or expired Notion authorization
Disconnect Notion in the extension, reconnect the workspace, and grant access to the page containing your destination database.
Database not found
The database may have been deleted, moved outside the authorized page tree, or removed from the integration’s access.
- Verify the database still exists and that you can edit it.
- Reopen the Notion connection and grant access.
- Return to Sync Center and click Refresh.
- Select the destination again.
Protected Grok image was not downloaded
Protected image export is optional and off by default. Enable Protected images, confirm the temporary debugger-capture explanation, open the source conversation, wait for the image to finish rendering, and retry.
If the option remains disabled, the Notion page receives a warning rather than keeping an inaccessible external image URL.
See Exporting Images and Files for the permission details.
File is larger than 20 MB
Notion’s direct-upload flow limits an individual file to 20 MB. Download the large asset separately or reduce its size, then retry the export.
The rest of the conversation should still export with a warning at the failed attachment position.
Rate limit exceeded
Pause for a few minutes, then retry a smaller scope. Use Current page or Selective mode instead of immediately repeating a complete history run.
Export stops midway
Check that the Grok tab and Sync Center are still open, confirm the network connection, and review the saved, skipped, and failed counts. Use Skip existing and Skip locally synced when restarting to avoid reprocessing completed items.
Contact support
Email [email protected] with the visible error, the export mode, whether images or attachments were enabled, and the approximate point where the run stopped. Do not send private conversation content or authentication tokens.
