Exporting Individual Chats

Quick Start

After installing the extension, pin it to your browser toolbar for easy access. Click the puzzle piece icon, find Claude AI to Notion, and click the pin icon.

Initial Setup

Complete this one-time authorization before saving conversations.

Notion Authorization

1. Click the extension icon and select “Go to Notion Authorization”

2. In the Notion authorization window:
   • Select your workspace
   • Click “Next”
3. Choose your save location:
   • Select “Save Page”
   • Choose an existing page or create a new one
   • Click “Allow Access”

Tip: If you can’t select the first option, click ‘Back’ then ‘Next’ again.

4. If selecting an existing page:
   • You can choose one or multiple pages
   • Select all desired pages
5. After authorization:
   • You’ll be redirected to Notion
   • Close the page and return to Claude AI

Saving Conversations

Method 1: Save Entire Conversation (Quick)

1. Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar
2. Click “Save to Notion” button
3. The entire conversation will be saved to your selected database

This method exports:

• Full conversation history
• All artifact content with version history
• Canvas content (if present)
• Properly formatted code blocks, and tables

Method 2: Save from Floating Button

The floating “Save to Notion” button at the bottom right saves the entire conversation.

1. Click the floating button
2. Select your target database
3. Click “Save”
4. View the saved page via the provided link

What Gets Exported

When you export a Claude AI conversation, the following content is saved to Notion:

Basic Information

• Title: Uses the current conversation title
• URL: Source link for context and de-duplication
• ConversationTime: Conversation timestamp (fallback to current time)

Content

• Messages: All conversation messages with preserved formatting
• Artifacts: All artifact content including every version created in the session
• Canvas: Canvas content as structured pages (if present)
• Code Blocks: Syntax-highlighted code with proper formatting
• Images: All images embedded in the conversation
• Tables: Properly formatted tables
• Lists: Ordered and unordered lists

Artifact Export

One of the most powerful features is full artifact history export:

• Exports all artifact versions from a Claude chat session
• Preserves code, documents, and creative outputs
• Maintains version history so you can see iterations
• Nothing gets lost

Canvas Export

Export Claude AI canvas content as structured pages:

• Preserves canvas layout and structure
• Maintains formatting and organization
• Saves as nested pages in Notion for easy navigation

Tips

• Pin the extension for quick access
• Use one-click export for fast saves
• All formatting is preserved automatically
• Artifacts and canvas content are exported with full fidelity

Troubleshooting

If save fails:

1. Ensure stable internet connection
2. Check Notion authorization is valid
3. Refresh the Claude AI page
4. Reopen the extension popup
