Exporting Individual Chats

Learn how to save single Grok conversations to Notion with one-click export

Quick Start

After installing the extension, pin it to your browser toolbar for easy access. Click the puzzle piece icon, find Grok to Notion, and click the pin icon.

Initial Setup

Complete this one-time authorization before saving conversations.

Notion Authorization

  1. Click the extension icon and select “Connect to Notion”
  1. In the Notion authorization window:
    • Select your workspace
    • Click “Next”
  2. Choose your save location:
    • Select “Save Page”
    • Choose an existing page or create a new one
    • Click “Allow Access”

Tip: If you can’t select the first option, click ‘Back’ then ‘Next’ again.

  1. If selecting an existing page:
    • You can choose one or multiple pages
    • Select all desired pages
  2. After authorization:
    • You’ll be redirected to Notion
    • Close the page and return to Grok

Saving Conversations

Method 1: Save Current Conversation (Quick)

  1. Open a Grok conversation page
  2. Click the extension icon in your browser toolbar
  3. Click “Save current ChatLog to Notion” button
  4. The entire conversation will be saved to your selected database

Free tier limit: 5 conversations per sync

Method 2: Batch Save

For saving multiple conversations at once, use the Batch Sync feature:

  1. Click “Go Bulk Export” button in the popup
  2. This will open the options page with batch sync capabilities

Tips

  • Pin the extension for quick access
  • Make sure you’re on a Grok conversation page before saving
  • Free tier quotas reset daily
  • Check the success message for the Notion page link

Troubleshooting

If save fails:

  1. Ensure you’re on a Grok conversation page (https://grok.com/chat/…)
  2. Check Notion authorization is valid
  3. Refresh the Grok page
  4. Reopen the extension popup

Error: “Can’t connect to Grok page”

  • Open a Grok conversation page first
  • Refresh all opened Grok pages
  • Re-open the extension popup

Error: “Please select a database first”

  • Make sure you’ve selected a Notion database in the dropdown
  • Try refreshing the database list
