How to Activate Your Subscription

After purchasing a subscription, activate it inside the extension with the email address you used at checkout. Perplexity to Obsidian does not require a password or account login; it only checks whether that email has an active subscription.

What You Need

• The Perplexity to Obsidian extension installed and enabled
• The same email address used for your subscription purchase
• A working internet connection for the subscription check

Step 1: Open Bulk Export

1. Click the Perplexity to Obsidian extension icon in your browser toolbar.
2. Click Go Bulk Export in the top-right corner of the popup.

The Batch Export page opens in a new tab. You can also open the same page by right-clicking the extension icon and choosing Options.

Step 2: Enter Your Subscription Email

On the Batch Export page, find the Subscription Status section. If it is collapsed, click the section header to expand it.

If the extension has not been activated yet, it shows Free Plan and limits batch export to 5 conversations per batch. Enter the email address used for your purchase, then click Activate Subscription.

If you have not subscribed yet, use Subscribe Now from the same section to open the checkout page.

Step 3: Confirm Activation

After the email is verified, the status changes to Subscription Active. The page will show the activated email and confirm that unlimited exports are available.

Refresh the Batch Export page once after activation, or reopen it from the extension popup, to confirm the active status is saved locally.

What Activation Unlocks

Once activated, you can use the premium export features:

• Unlimited batch exports: Export more than the free-plan batch limit
• Spaces export: Export conversations from specific Perplexity Spaces
• Selective export: Choose specific Q&A pairs from a conversation
• Export opened tabs: Export all Perplexity conversation tabs in the current window
• User attachment downloads: Save uploaded files alongside exported Markdown

Troubleshooting

No Active Subscription Found

If you see No active subscription found for this email, check these items:

• Make sure the email exactly matches the one used at checkout
• Check for typos or extra spaces
• Wait 5-10 minutes after purchase, then try again
• Confirm that the payment was completed successfully

Activation Request Fails

If the subscription check fails or keeps loading:

• Check your internet connection
• Refresh the Batch Export page and try again
• Reopen the extension popup and click Go Bulk Export again
• Try again after a few minutes

Activated But Still Limited

If activation succeeds but exports still behave like the free plan:

• Refresh the Batch Export page
• Refresh the Perplexity tab you are exporting from
• Close and reopen the extension popup
• Enter the same subscription email and click Activate Subscription again
