Added Custom Export Preview: Open a dedicated preview page from the popup before downloading a Perplexity conversation as Markdown
Independent message selection: Select prompts and Perplexity responses separately, including prompt-only, response-only, or mixed exports
Rendered Markdown preview: Review tables, lists, links, code blocks, headings, and other Markdown formatting before export
Preview-only export settings: Adjust Save Path, YAML frontmatter, Sources and Related Questions, and Space organization for the current export
Optional message times: When Show time is enabled, exported headings can include formatted timestamps such as # You (2026-04-30 12:12:01)
Fixed Save Path validation: Save Path must now be a relative folder under Chrome Downloads; absolute paths, Windows drive paths, network/UNC paths, .., empty segments, and unsupported special characters are rejected with clearer guidance
Prevented invalid filename failures: The stricter path rules avoid Chrome Downloads Invalid filename errors caused by unsupported save paths

Improved Markdown export format: User prompts and Perplexity responses now use clear H1 headers (# You / # Perplexity) instead of embedding question text in the heading
Better semantic structure: Exported conversations are easier to read, more consistent, and more compatible with other AI conversation export tools
Easier post-processing: Cleaner heading hierarchy improves downstream organization and automation workflows

Fixed YAML frontmatter escaping: Resolved issues when Perplexity chat titles contain multiple lines or special characters such as quotes
Improved Obsidian compatibility: Safer YAML string handling for exported Markdown files
Fixed filename date mismatch: Resolved issue where {original_date} in exported filenames could differ from the created date in frontmatter for some time zones

Improved Markdown metadata: Frontmatter now includes created, exported, and messages fields with full timestamps
Fixed duplicated Perplexity URLs: Exported frontmatter no longer contains duplicated conversation links
Smarter filename generation: Long titles now leave room for date suffixes and other placeholders
Local time zone export dates: Export dates now follow the current browser time zone

Batch page navigation: Added next page navigation to the batch processing page
Load All button: New button for loading all conversations during batch processing
Improved batch export experience: Easier navigation and loading for larger conversation histories

User attachments download: Optionally download files uploaded by users in their questions, including PDFs, documents, images, and other files
Local attachments folder: Downloaded files are saved alongside exported conversations for better backup organization
Obsidian wiki links: Attachments use [[filename]] links for seamless access from Obsidian notes
Settings toggle: Enable or disable attachment downloads with the “Download user attachments” setting

Export opened tabs: Export all Perplexity conversation tabs in the current browser window with one click
Automatic tab detection: Finds and deduplicates open conversation tabs before export
New popup action: Added “Export Opened Tabs” button for quick batch export without opening the bulk export page

Selective export: Choose specific Q&A pairs within a conversation before exporting

Smart retry mechanism: Automatic recovery from network errors and rate limits, with up to 3 retries and 60-second waits for 429 errors

Better error messages: Added actionable suggestions, including switching to “All threads” mode when rate limited
