Markdown, PDF, and File Settings

Use Export Settings to make AIExportHub output predictable before you run large exports.

Filename patterns

AIExportHub supports these filename presets:

• Current Date - Title: {date}-{title}
• Title - Current Date: {title}-{date}
• Original Date - Title: {original_date}-{title}
• Title - Original Date: {title}-{original_date}
• Updated Date - Title: {updated_date}-{title}
• Title - Updated Date: {title}-{updated_date}

Use a date-first pattern when you want files to sort chronologically. Use a title-first pattern when you browse mostly by conversation name.

Markdown settings

Markdown exports are useful for Obsidian, local folders, Git repositories, and plain-text archives.

Configure:

• Markdown download subdirectory.
• Markdown flavor: Obsidian or standard Markdown.
• Whether images and supported files should be downloaded with Markdown exports.

Default folders follow this pattern:

ai-chats-Hub-{platform}-markdown

For example:

ai-chats-Hub-chatgpt-markdown
ai-chats-Hub-claude-markdown
ai-chats-Hub-gemini-markdown
ai-chats-Hub-perplexity-markdown

PDF settings

PDF exports are useful for stable reading copies, client sharing, documentation, and compliance records.

Configure:

• PDF download subdirectory.
• PDF theme: clean or report.
• Whether supported images and files should be included.

Default folders follow this pattern:

ai-chats-Hub-{platform}-pdf

Notion settings

Notion settings control:

• Database selection.
• Duplicate behavior.
• Enhanced formatting.
• Splitting long chats into child pages.

Directory rules

AIExportHub uses Chrome downloads. Directory settings must be relative folder names, not absolute system paths.

Good examples:

AI-Exports/chatgpt-markdown
AI-Exports/client-research/pdf
ai-chats-Hub-perplexity-markdown

Avoid:

/Users/name/Documents/exports
C:\Users\name\Downloads\exports

If Chrome asks where to save every file, disable Chrome’s Ask where to save each file before downloading setting before running large bulk exports.
